Week 27 Update

Peanut now measuring about 14.5 inches long, she weighs just about 2 lbs.
This week, her brain is developing quickly. Her eyelids, which have remained closed up until this point, begin to open and now her retinas can begin to form. The retina contains specialized photoreceptor cells that respond to light, called rods and cones. Cones in particular help us perceive color.
Her skin is still wrinkly but by 27 weeks, she basically looks how he will look when you give birth to her, in just a few months!

Week 26 Update

Peanuts continues to grow and develop inside of you. Measuring about 14 inches long, she weighs just less than 2 lbs!
Her lungs continue to develop and she is taking small breaths of amniotic fluid inside your womb. These small breaths are getting her in shape for her first breath of fresh air.
Her veins are visible through her transparent skin but soon that will change as her skin begins to turn opaque.
The nerve pathways are becoming more and more developed, making her more responsive to sound. Don't be surprised if you feel her jump inside you if she is startled by a sudden noise.

6 Month Mark!

Peanut is now the size of an eggplant! That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby's learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.

There is a lot of growing happening and an increase in movement.
