This past weekend I updated Kayla's play space with a new toy......This stand alone jumper has a ton of interesting items for Kayla to play with and a jumper style so Kayla can exercise her legs. I was am so excited to introduce Kayla to her new jumper toy.

Hot Tub Fun!

Kayla and Dad spent some time in the hot tub this weekend. As you can tell Kayla had a blast!

Sundays are always fun because Kayla hangs out with Mom and Dad in bed for awhile... ahhh what a great start to Easter! Kayla is a bit to young for an Easter basket but next year we will have a egg hunt and all!

A little Play Time

Kayla is enjoying her play space. She is reaching for toys and investigating everything she can get her hands on. Bobbie the soft blocks you sent for Christmas are awesome!

Close to Being on the Move

Kayla is in a discovery phase. She is looking, reaching and trying desperately to move. During tummy time she now looks like she is trying to swim and she ends up turning herself sideways. Crawling cannot be that far off.

Bubble Bath

Kayla did not cooperate this weekend during bath time. She is now so interested in investigating EVERYTHING I have a hard time getting her to smile looking at me. She gets so intent on figuring out what the plastic duck is and what it tastes like I cannot get her to look up.

Kayla's First Cell Phone

I gave Kayla her first cell phone this weekend! The phone rings and talks it does everything except make calls. Apparently Kayla thought it made a good teething ring.

Naartjie Crazy!

This weekend I hit up Naatjie a specialty kids clothing shop that my parents found while visiting in San Antonio. Naartjie's clothing is super soft and just fantastic. I could not help myself and bought the whole store. I am set for summer. Thanks Grammy and Boopie!

Steping up!

Over the weekend as usual Kayla had a chance to play in her pool. She really enjoys the water and had a good time trying to move around on her tummy and standing up with Dad.

Mommy Notes 5 Months

5 Months In..... This month was all about FOOD! Kayla started her fifth month eating bananas, sweet potatoes and rice cereal. By the end of the fifth month she graduated to all kinds of food combinations. Oatmeal has become a fav of hers Butter Nut Squash Pears Apples Peas-- Still not a fan Carrots Combinations Banana's and Brown Rice Sweet Potatoes and White Beans Apples and Blueberries Peaches and Brown Rice Kayla started to sit herself up with a little bit of effort and started to push off with her feet and hips. It was a growing and developing month all around. Kayla's personality is growing by leaps and bounds. She is really becoming her own person. She loves to laugh and giggle. She loves to play in the water. Kayla is not picky she loves a bath or her pool. The hot tub she is not so sure about yet but it puts her to sleep! Keep Growing Little One!

This weekend Kayla and Mike spent some time together reading Muscle Mags. Kayla has been reaching for some time now but has connected reaching, grabbing an pulling all in one. It is so cute to watch her turn pages with Dad.
