Hitting the Beach!
We hit the beach... These days you can never be to careful. Kayla had 100 SPF on and the set up below to keep her safe from the sun. This was her very first day at the beach. As you can see she was taking everything in.

Dewey Beach 2011
Each year Ross and Deb invite Mike and I to crash at their beach house for a week. Usually we pick the week of July 4th. Three years in it has now become our summer tradition. This year was especially special. As it was the first year Kayla was with us. Just a short year prior we were sitting on the screen porch having a cocktail (not me of course) throwing out names with the anticipated excitement of our little girl would join us. Of course we were talking names..who won't be! I brought the baby name book! We each threw our own favorite name. Deryck picked Kayla. He said he loved the name or it could have been the name of this hot girl he knew. Strangely enough I never actually added Kayla to our baby name list. But on that Sat in the hospital recovery room. Mike said Sandi this is it what is her name... I said Kayla Marie... :)
Kayla's Play Space
Kayla has so much fun in her play space I ordered more puzzle cushions to give her more space to move around.
The Road to Crawling 2...
During Kayla's 9th Month she has been working hard to gain mobility. Crawling has been a first priority for her and she is getting really, really close. :0)
Sitting From Tummy Position
Kayla has been working on putting herself in a sitting position from her tummy. We practiced on the rug in her room. June notice Mike's rocking chair to the left.
Fathers Day 2011
Happy First Fathers Day, Dad!!!!!! Kayla gave Dad her footprint in sand! The Footprint note loaded sideways but it was to cute to not post. Hope you all can ready it.
